I get asked the same questions a lot, so here they are up front. No weasel words.
Q What is this site?
A A small, independent UK blog about credit — written in plain English by people who've been through the ringer with lenders themselves.
Q Do you lend money?
A No. We're a blog. When we recommend a product, we link out to a regulated provider and tell you why we like it.
Q How do you get paid?
A Some of the outbound links (like the TrustPay button) pay us a small commission if you apply. It never changes what we write or who we recommend.
Q Will reading this affect my credit file?
A Not at all. Only actual credit applications leave a mark. Reading, browsing, and even checking your own file is invisible to lenders.
Q Who writes the articles?
A A small editorial team with real UK finance experience — plus a lot of lived experience of getting things wrong and learning the hard way.
